Swiss-type turning
We specialise in precision turning on Citizen and Star Swiss-type lathes. The bar is supported in a guide bush and the tool cuts right next to it, so even slender parts many times longer than their diameter stay stable during machining.
- Bar-fed parts up to 20 mm diameter
- External and internal turning, tapers, profiles and grooves
- Long, slender parts such as pins, shafts and dowels
- Metric and imperial threads, including tapered NPT
- Straight knurling
- Chamfering and parting off the finished part
Complete machining in one cycle
Our Swiss-type lathes have live tooling and a sub-spindle. Operations that on a conventional lathe would need a separate milling or drilling machine are done in the same cycle, without re-clamping the part. That means fewer operations, shorter lead times and consistency across the whole batch.
- Drilling and tapping cross holes
- Milling flats and spanner hexagons
- Screwdriver slots, grooves and keyways
- Back-working on the sub-spindle
- The part comes off the machine finished
Aluminium anodising
Anodising is done in-house, straight after machining. The whole process, from bar stock to the finished coating, takes place in one workshop.
- A coating that protects aluminium against corrosion
- Natural (silver) and dyed anodising
- Colours: black, red, blue, turquoise, green, orange, purple, gold
- Consistent colour within a batch
Prototypes and series production
We take on orders of any size, from a single part to a full batch.
- Single pieces and prototypes
- Approval samples before the batch starts
- Short and medium batches
- Repeat orders to an approved sample
- Quotes from a drawing (PDF, STEP, DXF), a sample or a description
